Through this site, factorywarrantiesplus.com TM sells GM, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and other major makes extended, factory car and truck service contracts (= extended, factory car and truck warranties!) at very low prices - to:

  • Prevent disaster regarding your future repair costs, and cap their amount
  • Reduce needless! worry
  • Avoid a much higher markup at a dealer for the VERY SAME FACTORY CONTRACT, GOOD AT AUTHORIZED DEALERS OF THAT MANUFACTURER
  • Avoid "insurance-backed" contracts that often result in a need for pre-repairs authorization, authorized repairs at only certain (and non-factory dealer) shops, repairs with used or "remanufactured" parts, etc.
  • Provide a caring gift - and peace of mind - to a loved one - including you!

You may even make an economic PROFIT on your purchase of an extended service contract - if:

  • The value of your car or truck increases sufficiently, and/or
  • Buying a contract through factorywarrantiesplus.com TM saves you money sufficiently.

Please note: some states require the use of the term "service contracts" instead of "warranties." Unfortunately, most human beings recognize what "warranties" are, but not what "service contracts" are. This is yet another example of the world not being perfect - and of not enough voters demanding that their legislators make it so!

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions!)

FAQ 1

HOW DO WE GET YOU A BETTER PRICE?

We buy wholesale, and with greater volume buying power than you.

FAQ 2

CAN YOU FINANCE YOUR PURCHASE OF YOUR EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH US?

Yes - in at least two ways. First, you can pay through PayPal using your present credit cards. Second, PayPal allows you to apply for financing through PayPal.

NOTE: IF YOU NEED FINANCING IN ORDER TO PURCHASE YOUR EXTENDED WARRANTY, YOUR PRESENT SITUATION IS ALL THE MORE REASON WHY YOU NEED TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY: TO AVOID FUTURE REPAIRS DISASTERS!

FAQ 3

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT WE ACT AS YOUR AGENT - FOR THE LIMITED PURPOSE OF PURCHASING YOUR SERVICE CONTRACT?

We take all the work (otherwise, your work!) out of finding a dealer that will sell you the service contract at a low price, and we arrange your purchase of the service contract after you pay us, acting as your agent - for that limited purpose. That is our role. That is our only role. Thereafter, your service contract is good at authorized dealers of the manufacturer (read your warranty contract before you purchase - for example, in the case of extended service plans of Ford, repairs may not be performed in Canada). If any warranty issue arises in the future - such as a dealer disputing whether a repair item was performed to your satisfaction - you 1 resolve it with that dealer, 2 take your business to another dealer, or 3 contact a customer service representative of the manufacturer (sometimes located at a so-called “zone office”). We do not get involved in warranty repair issues - if any ever arise - because we charge you little money (our markup is low!) “in exchange for,” in a sense, our not being  involved in such future issues, if any ever arise.

FAQ 4

HOW MUCH WILL YOUR WARRANTY COST YOU?

If you are fortunate, it may cost you NOTHING! IT MAY BE FREE! YOU MAY EVEN MAKE AN ECONOMIC PROFIT ON PURCHASING YOUR WARRANTY - if:

The value of your car or truck increases sufficiently, and/or

Buying a contract through factorywarrantiesplus.com TM saves you money sufficiently.

FAQ 5

IN ADDITION TO AN INCREASE IN THE VALUE OF YOUR CAR OR TRUCK, WILL YOU INDEED SAVE MONEY ON YOUR FUTURE REPAIR COST CASH OUTLAYS - AND HOW MUCH?

Yes - if more than modest future repairs are required.

No - if no or few future repairs are required (= if you have the luck of a Leprechaun as your car ages - and, typically, cars do experience problems as they age, as you well know!).

How much you save will depend on all the factors which determine repair costs in the first place - 1 whether your car was built on a “TGIF” Friday(!) or a “Still Recovering From The Weekend” Monday(!), 2 how you drive it (for example, into walls?), 3 whether someone is looking down on you, 4 whether someone is looking down on you - but laughing(!), 5 etc.!

FAQ 6

CAN YOU INCREASE THE RESALE VALUE OF YOUR CAR OR TRUCK BY PURCHASING AN EXTENDED SERVICE CONRACT?

You are interested in purchasing a used vehicle.

One is still “under (factory!) warranty.”

Another is not.

Which car would you rather buy, all things else being equal?

When you extend a “warranty” (service contract) period, you acquire increased negotiating leverage with a potential future buyer of your car.

How much of a greater price you can gain depends upon how well you negotiate, etc. - but an extended service contract gives you one more tool in your negotiating arsenal!

ABSOLUTELY DEMAND MORE FROM A POTENTIAL BUYER OF YOUR CAR OR TRUCK - BECAUSE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK IS WORTH MORE IF IT COMES WITH AN EXTENDED FACTORY WARRANTY.

THIS FACTOR IS STILL UNDERAPPRECIATED IN OUR CULTURE - BUT WE AND YOU ARE CHANGING THIS - AND, IN THE MEANTIME, IT IS AN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR US BOTH.

FAQ 7

WILL YOU "GET" TO - AND "HAVE" TO - SIGN UP FOR PAYPAL IN ORDER TO COMPLETE YOUR PURCHASE?

Yes - to both.

You "get" to sign up for PayPal, because, once you do so, you can thereafter purchase online, through PayPal, anywhere on the Internet, without having to fill in your credit card information over and over again. In addition, there are other benefits of using PayPal - and these will undoubtedly increase over time, as PayPal offers allied services. For example, PayPal offers financing through PayPal for purchases - including those from factorywarrantiesplus.com TM (and you can always purchase through PayPal using your existing credit cards).

You "have" to sign up for PayPal, because, at present, a quirk of PayPal's computer programming necessitates your doing so in order for your purchase to be properly entered into our own back-end record system - allowing us to send you a confirm, process your order, etc..

-----------------------

FAQ 8

MUST YOU TAKE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK TO ANY PARTICULAR DEALER FOR SERVICING?

Absolutely NOT! Your service contract is good at authorized dealers of the manufacturer. (Read your extended, factory service contract before you purchase it, and check as to whether there are any limitations, such as regarding repairs in countries other than the U.S..)

-----------------------

FAQ 9

SHOULD YOU READ THE SERVICE CONTRACT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE IT?

ABSOLUTELY ! As with any purchase, know your rights and any limitations ! We provide you, on this Website, an Adobe Acrobat .pdf  file of the service contract prior to your purchase of it. Before you complete your purchase by clicking the final PayPal button, read, approve, and understand the contract you are purchasing.

FAQ 10

WHAT ABOUT DEDUCTIBLES?

At present, we sell only the lowest deductible service contracts for particular car makes and models, unless otherwise specified. We do this to simplify your life and ours (= KISS - “Keep It Simply Splendid” - we choose to say!), and because even the lowest deductible service contracts may be reasonably priced, especially given the grief they may save you. “Reasonably priced,” though, depends ,in part, upon whether, in the future, it is your car that is always in the repair shop - or that suffers a major systems problem - and we both hope that is not your car!

-----------------------

FAQ 11

IS A SERVICE CONTRACT “INSURANCE”?

In a broad sense, many activities in life involve “insurance.” For example, your buying milk helps “insure” that you can enjoy your next trip to your cereal bowl. The service contract arena is no different. Again, if it is your car that is always in the repair shop or that suffers a major systems problem, you will be glad that your car (you will then call it a “bucket of bolts”!) is still “under (factory!) warranty.”

-----------------------

FAQ 12

ARE VARIOUS NON-FACTORY SERVICE CONTRACTS OFFERED BY SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES?

Yes - but would you want one?

More seriously, if the issuer of a service contract - a car manufacturer or an insurance company - defaults on its obligations, you may be out of luck - depending on such complexities as whether a more solvent insurance company purchases yours, whether a manufacturer of greater financial ability assumes the liabilities of your car or truck manufacturer, including service contract obligations, whether your manufacturer seeks bankruptcy relief, exactly what happens in that bankruptcy process, etc.. Usually, a manufacturer is less likely to default than an undercapitalized insurance company. However, this could change to the extent that a particular manufacturer comes under or continues to come under financial pressure. As with any product in life, stay tuned to the news - and keep your thinking cap on! For now, we vote for factory service contracts.

MOREOVER, "insurance-backed" contracts may mean pre-repairs authorization, even pre-towing authorization as you stand in the rain, authorized repairs at only certain (and non-factory dealer) shops, repairs with used or "remanufactured" parts, etc.. Is THAT what YOU want?!

FAQ 13

CAN YOU GET YOUR CAR PAYMENTS RECOMPUTED (LOWERED!) WHEN YOU CANCEL THAT EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACT THE DEALER SOLD YOU AT A HIGH MARK-UP PRICE AND INCLUDED IN YOUR AMOUNT BORROWED (YOUR AMOUNT FINANCED) - THE VERY SAME FACTORY CONTRACT GOOD AT AUTHORIZED DEALERS WE CAN THEN SELL YOU AT A FAR LOWER PRICE(!)?

Yes. You have the right to cancel that high-priced contract you were sold by the high-mark-up dealer (often, up to 60 days) - and when you do, you ask for a re-computation of your payments. The dealer can arrange this with the lender that is financing your purchase of the vehicle It can be done by the dealer executing a new contract with you, in conjunction with the financing company, or by the dealer arranging with the financing company an appropriate amount to be taken off what you owed on the loan prior to your cancellation. The dealer may well try to sell you the contract right back at a lower price - but why reward people who sold you the contract at a high mark-up the first time around? Reward factorywarrantiesplus.com TM - which brought this savings opportunity to you! Thanks!

FAQ 14

HOW MUCH DO YOU GET BACK WHEN YOU CANCEL AN EXTENDED SERVICE CONTRACT?

In general, the amount depends upon how long you have held the contract. You should read the contract of your particular manufacturer to learn such details in your particular case.
